MBBS Fee Structure

The MBBS course is regulated by the Medical Council of India and is spanned for four and a half years divided into semesters, followed by a compulsory internship for a year.

Usually, the minimum eligibility for the course is 10+2 with subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Madhya Pradesh admits students for MBBS through AIPMT/NEET exams. If you clear the NEET exam and come under the merit list, you will be called for counselling. You can select the college of your choice, matching your marks and join the same.

To be called for counselling you should come under the merit list of either in the All India merit list for 15% seats or in the merit list of MP state 85% seats.

For admission into the MBBS course, all medical aspirants will have to undergo medical entrance examinations. In India, there are three national level medical entrance examination which an applicant has to qualify. These examinations are - NEET, AIIMS MBBS, JIPMER MBBS.

NEET is the centralized medical entrance examination of our nation through which all medical admissions into the government and private colleges will be done. No applicant will be granted admission anywhere if he/she has not qualified NEET. However, AIIMS and JIPMER are the exceptions.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

who have passed 10+2 exam with physics, chemistry and biology(Zoology & Botany) are eligible for admission into MBBS course. Student must be an Indian National for admission through All India Entrance Exam (NEET). Student should have completed 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission. Student should get Qualifying score in NEET exam.

MBBS ADMISSION PROCESS

The MBBS admission process for the medical institutions present in India is based on the common entrance exam National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET ). The students have to appear for the NEET examination and clear the exam with the required cut off to participate in the Counseling process. The MBBS admission process is controlled by the National Board of Examination (NBE).

The key highlights about the counseling process are,

  • Clearing the NEET exam is the mandatory step for getting MBBS admission.
  • MBBS counseling process is conducted in two form- centralized counseling and state counseling
  • The centralized counseling is undertaken for the All India Quota seats by the central medical board.
  • The state counseling is conducted for the state quota seats and for the seats in private and deemed colleges of the respective state.
  • The direct admission process is also possible through the management quota seats.
  • NRI and Foreign students have seats reserved as per the rules set by the MCI.

DIRECT MBBS ADMISSION PROCESS:

The ratio of the number of students applying for the admission process is four times that of the number of MBBS seats available in Indian medical colleges. The students who have cleared the NEET exam with high scores are able to get admission to their dream college. There are students who have cleared NEET with eligible cut off but not able to secure admission in the Medical institutions are given with an option to go for the direct admission process. The private medical institutions will be allocated with management quota seats, which the colleges can fill on their own.

  • The management quota seats of that particular college are filled by the institution on their own.
  • The unfilled NRI and foreign students' quota seats are converted into management quota seats for direct admission.
  • The seat of the students who have not completed the admission process in time is converted into direct admission.
  • Clearing NEET is obligatory for the direct MBBS admission process.
